Hey there, since I've been using (or trying to) 2 hair dyes for around a year now, I've decided to write a review for both of them. First one is Schwarzkopf's Igora Royal no. 0-22 or, as it is rarely called, anti-orange mix. Second one is Wella's Koleston no. 77/44, aka. Volcano Red.
First goes the (in my opinion) worst, so this would be the Igora one. The thing with this dye, is that it was sold to me as a vibrant blue at the shop I bought it. There even was a sample for it, so after checking it and making sure it was the blue one, I bought it. Now, it costed me about €10, which, honestly, is kinda pricy for a hair dye which does not even have a developper inside, or gloves or anything except for the dye and the instructions
Anyways, I had first bought that dye about 2 years ago, hoping to get the result I wanted and was promised, but no luck. At all. At that time I thought that the problem was not bleaching my hair enough (I had used oxy of 30 degrees, which is 9%), but anyways I just left it like that.
Later on, actually 2 weeks ago, I decided to try that dye once again. This time I made sure that my hair would be bleached a lot, so that I wouldn't have the same crappy result as in the past. For this, I used oxy of 40 degrees (12%), which is the most powerful one there is, but can damage the hair/skin. Anyways, after bleaching my hair to the point where it was really blonde, I applied the dye, always making sure I use the right proportions. 50-55 minutes later, little did it surpise me that when I washed and dried my hair the result was crappy like the previous one. Having been promised BLUE hair, I did not really like being given some sucky tint of grey, mixed with white, and a tiny little amount of very light blue.
So anyways, given the fact that it is pricy, the color is clearly not the one described on the package and that it does not come with a developper, I would not recommend it to anyone. Also, if I had to rate it from 1 to 5, I would probably give it a 1.5, just for actually having a dye in there and not being an empty package.
And now, for the second and last dye I have and can review, the mighty Volcano Red one (^_^). I've been dying part of my hair red for about half a year, and recently I changed from a Wellaton one to this, the Koleston one.
First of all, I should say that with the Wellaton one, I had to dye my hair almost every month, otherwise it would lose it's vividness or start fading to the point of becoming kinda orange/blonde. So, I bought this one, and figured out it's much much better. It costs around €6 I think, which is reasonable for a hair dye. However, a developper is not included in the package, but thankfully the dye doesn't cost a lot, and developpers are easy to find and buy, so it was no problem.
With this dye, the color remains vivid for about 3 months, for me at least. Also, note down that I live in a country with a lot of sun, but even though, my hair does not become orange. Moreover, the examples given in the package are almost exactly the same as the result I get, so that's also a plus. Also, if the dye goes on your clothes, after a good wash, it comes off completely, which is very nice, otherwise some of my best t-shirts would be utterly ruined. However, if it goes on your skin, expect it to stay there for some time...
Anyways, overall, it's a really good dye, i'd give it a 4.5/5.

The igora 0-22 is a concentrate to be mixed with other shades when lifting naturally dark hair to reduce orange tones it's sort of an ash booster and is not meant to be used for the blue color you're looking for.
ΑπάντησηΔιαγραφήthe anti orange wont make your hair blue, its a toner to make your hair white by balancing the yellow/orange tones in the hair with blue. Before you review something you could atleast use it properly or read the label. idiot
